Acura RDX sales remained almost flat in 2019 with insignificant decline of 1 percent with 62,876 units, which is a little shy of its all time high of 63,580 units in previous year, while its competitor Lexus NX market share shrunk even further with a drop of about 5 percent.
RDX is entry level compact luxury crossover SUV in Acura’s lineup with base price of $37,800 for its Standard version equipped with 2.0L V4 turbo engine and a front wheel drive. The upgraded vehicle with all wheel drive Inline-4 SH-AWD® package costs $39,800 and houses the same engine that puts out 272 hp @ 6500 rpm and 280 pound feet of torque.
While RDX lost marginal sales volume in U.S. market, the situation is completely revered in Canada where sales saw a significant jump of 9 percent in 2019 with record 9,716 units as compared to 8,890 in 2018.
