I am the proud owner of a Focus MK3 today. The standard radio is installed there (no Sony, but with Sync (1?).

I retrofitted a JVC car radio in my old MK2, and I mostly listened to radio and Spotify.

Spotify was preinstalled there and you could connect your cell phone directly via bluetooth and navigate comfortably from the car radio.

Now I would also like to use a similar function in the new Focus.

I have a few questions about this, I hope there are already some users who can post their experiences:

1) Are there things that are no longer displayed on such as on Chinese unit (e.g. display when parking in reverse ect.?)

2) These parts have sometimes built hands-free or GPS. Do I need separate hardware for this or can I use the internally installed hardware?

3) Controlling the steering wheel remote control shouldn't be a problem, right?

Hi. Honestly, never buy such a Chinese part. Mine had cost $350 and I threw it out after 2 months. The bad radio reception was still okay. But it had to restart at least once a week and after that everything was set to factory settings. The amplifier wasn't that good either, so the sound was tinny. I would never do it again.

I know I am late to this, but I couldn't agree more.  I bought a Seicane head unit and paid a lot for it.  It was a total disaster.  On top of it they had a money back guarantee that they refused to honor.  Given they're in China, not much I can do.

I'm in the same boat and researching options.  But don't waste your money on a Chinese head unit.  You'll be parted with hard earned money and over disappointed.
