My mk3 focus 1.6 tdci the snowflake temperature even though the outside temp is 9 degrees

ive changed the complete passenger side mirror with a new one but the snowflake is still on
it shows 2 degrees when in fact its 9 degrees outside then goes off when driven and it thinks its five degrees outside

This is common problem in Focus, maybe due to unusual location of the sensor. Most vehicles have outside temperature sensor behind the front bumper.
