Enable or disable rear view camera delay on Ford F-150

Ford F-150 is equipped with a feature that keeps the rear view camera display active on the center touchscreen after you shift your vehicle out of reverse.

What is rear view camera delay?

When shifting the transmission out of reverse (R) and into any gear other than park (P), the camera image remains in the display until your vehicle speed reaches approximately 5 mph (8 km/h), or you shift your vehicle into park (P).


Switching rear view camera delay on and off

The rear view camera delay can be enabled or disabled via the SYNC 4 infotainment system on Ford F-150.

  1. Go to Features on the center touchscreen.
  2. Select Driver Assistance.
  3. Select Rear View Camera.
  4. Switch Rear View Camera Delay on or off.
