The rear view camera is the supplemental system that helps provide a view of the area behind the vehicle through the vehicle’s multimedia display.
The lines shown on the display are there as a guide to show you the direction in which the car is aligned. They are meant to help you with parking or backing up.
The rear view camera will activate when the engine is running and the shift lever is in the reverse position. At times, the displayed image may become difficult to see. For example, when it is raining and droplets cover the lens.
Use care to keep the camera lens clean and avoid applying any type of solvents, wax, or cleaners to the camera lens. If the lens becomes dirty, wipe the lens with a clean, soft cloth.
