Porsche to add 900 more charging stations worldwide in 2020

Porsche announced that charging stations for electric powertrain vehicles will be installed at 900 locations worldwide by 2020.

Porsche is investing in the “Destination Charging” program, which builds a global charging network. The program currently has a total of 1,035 AC charging stations in about 20 countries around the world.

In addition, 900 installations are planned by the end of 2020. Charging points are located at hotels, airports, museums, shopping malls, sports clubs and marina. Customers of EV Taycan and other plug-in hybrid vehicles can charge their vehicles for free.

The program will be available in all markets where Porsche sells plug-in hybrid and electric cars. In Europe, it will expand to Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and some Eastern Europe. The company also plans to establish a network of charging stations in countries such as Brazil in South America.
