New Lexus LC Cabriolet can now be ordered in Europe

The summer has already started at Lexus: As of now, the new Lexus LC Cabriolet is available from Japanese brand and can be ordered from premium dealers. The prices start at 117,950 euros in Germany; At the market launch, the limited edition “Regatta” (from 138,800 euros) will also be launched. The elegant convertible rolls into the German Lexus forums in September.

The new LC Cabriolet combines the athleticism of the flagship coupe Lexus LC with a particularly comfortable driving experience in the open air. The high-quality soft top plays a key role here: thanks to a special folding mechanism, it can be stowed away between the rear struts of the chassis to save space. An innovative arrangement that lowers the center of gravity of the vehicle, largely maintains the luggage volume and, above all, preserves the dynamic line of the coupe.

When closed, the four-layer fabric roof ensures the typical on-board noise comfort. If it is opened within just 15 seconds at the push of a button, it clears the way for a particularly luxurious form of open driving fun. And that is not only guaranteed in summer temperatures: The intelligent Lexus automatic climate control optimizes the interaction of air conditioning, seat and neck heating and the heated steering wheel depending on the outside temperature and sunlight. The sophisticated aerodynamics and the standard transparent wind deflector behind the rear seats also reduce disturbing air turbulence in the interior.

The soft top, which can be opened and closed at up to 50 km/h, is available in black and beige, and the body colors give the customer a choice of eleven paint finishes. The high-quality interior also offers plenty of room for personalization with the three color themes of velvet black, Bahia brown and Ascari red.

As in the LC 500, a 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine with 341 kW / 464 hp and 530 Nm torque drives the dynamic, elegant convertible. The driving force of the eight-cylinder is sent to the rear wheels via a 10-step automatic. The LC 500 Cabriolet accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 270 km/h. The average fuel consumption is 12.6 liters per 100 kilometers with CO 2 emissions of 288 g/km (correlated NEDC values, provisional information).

The already extensively equipped LC Cabriolet (combined fuel consumption 12.6 l/100 km; CO 2-Emissions combined 288 g/km) can optionally be further upgraded. You can choose from a touring package with forged 20-inch light-alloy wheels, seat covers made from semi-aniline leather, the Mark Levinson premium surround sound system and head-up display, as well as a performance package with torsion limited slip differential, high-performance rear shock absorbers and carbon – Sill guards.

The touring package is already included in the “Regatta” limited edition; 21-inch wheels and carbon door sill trims are also included. The maritime character of the model is emphasized by an exterior paint job in stratus blue, the navy blue soft top and a predominantly white semi-aniline leather interior including a white leather steering wheel.
