Volkswagen starts spring with a new T-Roc Cabriolet

The new T-Roc Cabriolet rolls to the dealers just in time for spring. The first open crossover from Volkswagen combines the best of the convertible and SUV world: it combines driving pleasure with high utility value and striking design. The rollover protection system and a reinforced windscreen frame, among other things, should ensure maximum safety. The new Cabriolet is now available from Volkswagen dealers. In Germany, the model starts with a base price of 27,495 euros.

Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet 2020

The first open crossover (CUV) from Volkswagen is a comfortable companion on every trip – whether on a jaunt, in city traffic or on long journeys, whether in sunny spring weather or heavy rain. The fully automatic electro-hydraulic soft top is the central element of the T-Roc Cabriolet: it opens within nine seconds, even at speeds of up to 30 km / h. It can be closed quickly if rain clouds appear in the sky. The modern soft top takes eleven seconds to close. Locking takes place via an electromechanical locking system. The precipitation is reliably locked out and can flow off via the connecting longitudinal seams of the side parts like an additional rain gutter.

Comprehensive safety features for driving without a fixed roof

When it comes to safety, Volkswagen makes no compromises with the T-Roc Cabriolet. The rollover protection is located behind the headrests of the rear seats and extends in a fraction of a second when a defined lateral acceleration or lateral inclination is exceeded. At the front, the occupants benefit from the reinforced windshield frame. In addition, the torsional rigidity of the body is guaranteed by the rear struts on the left and right between the B-pillar and the rear wheel arch, as well as a double rear floor and side floor rails. In addition, the use of high-strength, high-strength and form-hardened steel increases the level of safety. Various functions of We Connect such as emergency call service, breakdown call, online anti-theft alarm system prove to be useful helpers in extreme cases.

Everyday companion with style and optimal networking

The Cabriolet measures a total of 4,268 mm in length and 1,811 mm in width. This makes the vehicle 34 mm longer than the closed T-Roc. This means that there is still 284 liters of luggage space available when driving open with the top down. Accordingly, the CUV is a completely everyday companion for 365 days a year. This is also evident in the back seat: thanks to the load-through function, even long objects can be transported. But also the optional trailer device, which is easy to assemble and remove after use, is a practical solution for many everyday situations.

There are two efficient petrol engines to choose from for the new Volkswagen Cabriolet: The entry-level engine as the 1.0 TSI OPF with 85 kW / 115 hp and the somewhat sportier 1.5 TSI ACT OPF with 115 kW / 150 PS . Both units enable relaxed cruising, while various infotainment systems of the latest generation ensure a good mood. An eSIM is integrated for optimal networking. This means that you are always on and can use a WiFi hotspot, media streaming and web radio via WE Connect.

T-Roc Cabriolet is now available from Volkswagen dealers

Many Volkswagen showrooms have reopened last week. There, visitors can also get to know the T-Roc Cabriolet and experience it up close. Volkswagen initiated the resumption of the car trade in advance. As part of the so-called “JumpStart program“, the dealers were prepared for the implementation of new hygiene measures for employees and customers as well as current service offers in online training courses. In addition to virtual vehicle presentations and the contactless collection and delivery service for cars, there will also be attractive leasing and financing offers.
