Kia announces a second extension to its European warranty

Kia Extends Vehicle Coverage With Original Manufacturer Warranty.

Additional one-month extension for customers whose vehicle warranty expires in May 2020.

Warranty coverage extension until June 2020; This measure aims to help customers who are unable to attend a workshop during the pandemic.

Kia Motors Europe has announced a new extension to its “Kia Promise” extended warranty program. The “Kia Promise” initiative has been designed to assist Kia customers whose movements may be limited by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Originally announced that it would cover vehicles with original Kia warranties that expire between February 1 and April 30, 2020, “Kia Promise” is now extended even further, covering all customers whose original manufacturer warranties expire during May 2020. The “Kia Promise” program extends the warranty coverage for all affected vehicles until June 30, 2020.

With many countries and companies taking precautionary measures to counter the pandemic caused by COVID-19, “Kia Promise” aims to help customers who are unable to attend a workshop during this time. The program also helps customers who are unable to bring their car to perform the contracted maintenance service as part of a Kia service package, during the suspension of in-country activities.

Kia Motors Iberia (Spain) will contact all affected customers individually by email in the coming days, with more details on the “Kia Promise” program.

“By prioritizing the safety, health, and well-being of its customers, business partners, and employees, Kia Motors continues to closely monitor COVID-19 developments in the communities where it operates. The company continually strives to prevent the spread of the virus in its facilities, while working with federal, state and local authorities, complying with all the regulations established by those entities.”
