There could be several reasons why your car takes 5-10 seconds to start after pressing the start button:

Weak Battery:
Even though you replaced the key fob battery, it's possible that the main 12 volt car battery is weak or failing. A weak battery may struggle to provide enough power to start the engine promptly.

Ignition System Issues:
Problems with the ignition system, such as faulty ignition coils or spark plugs, could cause a delay in starting the engine.

Fuel System Problems:
Issues with the fuel system, such as a clogged fuel filter or a failing fuel pump, may cause a delay in delivering fuel to the engine, resulting in a delayed start.

Starter Motor:
A failing starter motor could also cause a delay in starting the engine. If the starter motor is not functioning properly, it may take longer to engage and turn over the engine.

Engine Control Unit (ECU) Issues:
Problems with the engine control unit, such as faulty sensors or software glitches, could also lead to delays in starting the engine.

Electrical Issues:
Various electrical issues, such as loose connections or corroded terminals, could also contribute to delays in starting the engine.

Given the age of your vehicle, it's possible that one or more of these components may need attention or replacement. It's recommended to have a professional mechanic diagnose the issue to determine the exact cause of the delay in starting.
