the battery was very low on water and the cables were corroded slightly. using the remote placed up to the starter, which was amber, the car started. I cleaned the cables and added water.  I drove home, 35 miles, I got the second remote, thinking it was a problem with the new battery that I replaced in the current remote, however, the emergency start worked but nothing inside the car came on.  Low water in the battery may be the problem, but now the battery is charged and neither remove works unless it is placed on the started button to start the car and nothing else works in the car. Should I get a new Battery? Get the remotes reprogrammed. All fuses are good. H E A D A C H E !!!!

It sounds like there could be a few potential issues going on with your Mazda CX-5. Here are some steps you can take to diagnose and potentially fix the problem:

Check the Battery:
Even though you've charged the battery, it's possible that it's still not holding a charge properly due to its low water level and corrosion. If the battery was severely depleted, it might not be able to power other components of the car even after recharging. Consider getting the battery tested at an auto parts store or by a mechanic to ensure it's in good condition.

Inspect Electrical Connections:
Corroded cables and poor connections can prevent the electrical system from functioning properly. Make sure all connections to the battery terminals are clean and tight, including the ground connection.

Consider Getting a New Battery:
If the battery continues to be a suspect, even after recharging, it might be best to replace it with a new one. Ensure that the new battery is the correct type and size for your Mazda CX-5.
