Bluetooth hands-free kit - can it be retrofitted on 118i convertible (E88) M-package Bj 08/2008

Question

I drive a 118i convertible (E88) M-package Bj 08/2008.

My car has a navigation system, multifunction steering wheel, aux connection and ..

Is it possible to retrofit Bluetooth?

Where would the price be?

It would be important to me that the operation of my multifunction steering wheel works.

I am mainly concerned with the hands-free system and music. (Rewinding and rewinding the music)

Exchanging the original radio for another Bluetooth radio would be the very last option for me.

I can only recommend the Fiscon / Kufatec solution for retrofitting. I also added it to my wife's 1 Series (EZ 10/2008, Business Navi).

Installation is relatively easy if you don't have two left hands (I was very careful at the time and was finished after 1.5 hours). If you don't trust yourself, ask a friend - but it's not rocket science.

The control of the FSE via steering wheel buttons and navigation system is possible, the voice output is via vehicle speakers, the voice quality is very good. Even music can be played on my smartphone via Bluetooth, but I had to do without the previously installed CD changer.

When choosing the right variant, you have to be a little careful: it depends on the month of manufacture and the specific navigation system installed. Visually everything looks exactly the same with your 1 Series as with my wife, the month of manufacture could also almost match. Nevertheless, I am not completely sure whether the linked device would fit you.

I recently installed the "Vocomo kX-2 BMW V3" with me.

I have the Navi Business and the installation was really easy and it took me about 30 minutes.

Speakerphone; Voice assistant; Steering wheel remote control; and music streaming with very good sound quality ...

A great advantage and benefit is really the voice assistant, in connection with eg Android Auto which can be started automatically on the smartphone when paired.

The disadvantage, however, is that your display does not show any information from the navigation system.
