I intend to buy a Ford Fiesta 1.3 Ambiente that has the following data:

Body shape : Small car (5 seats) Mileage: 70,879 km First registration: 01/2003 Power: 51 kW (69 PS) Fuel:
Petrol Consumption: 6.2 l / 100 km (combined) HU test: 04/2014

So far so good. The car itself makes a very good impression. My question would be: Does anyone know whether the car has a timing belt or a timing chain and when you have to change the belt (if available) and what does it cost? I would be very happy to receive an answer as soon as possible.

Thank you + best regards

Have the belt change in the workshop if you have never done it yourself. A new tension pulley and a new V-belt are added to the belt. All in all, you can get by on around $300 if you go to an independent workshop and compare prices. As far as I know, you have to change the belt at 90,000, so you still have a little time to look around for the cheapest workshop. If you buy the car from the dealer, try to trade with him a little, make the timing belt change a condition of the purchase. It worked for me once.
