BMW iSpeech is the built-in voice recognition system that allows you to control many of your vehicle’s features such as the audio system, telephone, navigation and more.
Through spoken commands, you can use voice command when you’d like to dictate a message.
To activate, first be sure your Android phone is paired to your vehicle via Bluetooth, and that you have given it permission to access contacts.
Next press and release the voice command button on the steering wheel and speak your command.
- For example, say “Send a new text message to Peter Smith, I will be late”.
- [System voice] Peter Smith was selected, please say send message or add text.
- Say, “Send a message”.
- [System voice] Message has been sent.
- Other examples of commands are “send an email to John Smith”, or “please create an email to Robert”.
