I am looking to add a dual exhaust system to my 2008 Mustang V6. I don't want it to sound like rice, I prefer a deeper sound than a tinny sound. (I understand it's not a V8, I have owned other V8 muscle cars, this is a special case.) I just want a deep sounding 4.0L V6 with dual exhaust. I was looking at the Pypes Cat-Back Muffler Delete set, but don't have any knowledge or experience with deleted mufflers.

I was thinking of getting that and maybe adding a glasspack muffler or two and some exhaust tips.

Pypes also sells a kit with mid mufflers and tips here: https://pypesexhaust.com/i-12200858-05-10-mustang-v6-cat-back-mid-muffler-system-sfm69.html

The mid mufflers almost resemble glasspacks, but I can't be sure what they are.

I don't want to spend tons of cash, but I would like some guidance.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Your V6 is never going to sound deep. Not sure why you posted... you are headed in the direction I'd suggest.

Your links have video files with audio so you can hear exactly how these systems sound. If you want to find out how other systems sound... there are a ton of them on YouTube linked from manufacturer's sites like the 2 you posted. Listen and compare.

Then go someplace where Mustang drivers hang out... Cars and Coffee or Mustang cruise-ins and ask about their cars. Nearly everyone I've ever talked to about mufflers will fire them up and let you listen. They can tell you if the interior drone makes you want to rip off your ears after 50 highway miles.

The Pypes duals with the small mid-mounted mufflers have a good chance of reduced drone if you like their tone. Doesn't matter if they are glass-packs if you like the tone.
