The last 2 weeks the alarm on my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser constantly goes off.  If someone walks by, if the wind blows or when we mow the lawn ... It goes off !  What to do without having to take it to the Toyota dealership as I simply cannot afford to have them charge me for "what might" be wrong.

If its an OEM alarm, it could be due to an overly sensitive shock sensor. The shock sensor detects vibration of the body and triggers the alarm. The sensitivity can be adjusted with an OBDII scanner.

There was also a recall for 2007 FJ Cruisers: AX001-07 05/22/2007 Antitheft - Alarm Activates Too Easily. You should contact Toyota dealer to check if your vehicle is eligible.
