My 2022 Kia Soul seems to turn the engine off instead of idling

It starts right back up when I start driving again,  is this really happening and why?

Its called Auto Start-Stop feature, Kia calls it ISG or Idle Stop and Go system, designed to help save fuel consumption and emissions in city driving. When your vehicle comes to a stop, the engine automatically shuts off and is in standby mode. It starts up again when you press the accelerator pedal or release brake pedal.

How to disable Auto Start-Stop in 2022 Kia Soul:
To deactivate the auto start-stop feature or ISG system, press the ISG OFF button on the instrument panel to the left side of the steering wheel. The light on the ISG OFF button will illuminate. Press the button again to turn on the feature.
