How to start Ford F-150 with a dead battery key fob

It can happen to any one of us. Your key fob battery dies and your truck no longer starts with push button and gives error “No Key Detected” on the dashboard. So what do you do in this situation? Fortunately there is a technique to start your vehicle with a dead battery key fob.

There is a hidden compartment in every F-150 vehicle where you can place key fob and it will start your vehicle, it does not matter it has dead battery or even if there is no battery inside. You just have to place the original key inside this secret location.

Key fob location

After placing the key in the small compartment at the bottom of the cup holder in the center console, continue to press the push start button. The vehicle will then start without any problems. There is a little sensor installed by the manufacturer at this location for this exact purpose, placing the key here helps the vehicle detect the key by sending the signals through it.

How can I start my 2012 f150 after my keys have been washed the night before? I’ve looked on Google for everything and I’m finding nothing. Looking like I’m not going to work today
