My 89 Pontiac Trans Am will crank and start up and die unless I keep my foot on the gas, I've searched over and over for vacuum leaks and all my lines and hoses are good. Fuel pump and pressure is good, but when I took everything apart to replace my injectors the throttle body gasket was broken so and I didnt put one back one as I ordered one online since none of the local autoshops had them in stores. My question is will not having the throttle body gasket the goes in between the TB and intake cause these symptoms? I understand that a leak will cause rough idle and hard starting, but will a leak so minuscule cause the car not to idle well or even at all?
