I have a 430i GC LCI and I am super satisfied! Only the sound system bothers me and is too weak for me. Unfortunately, I only installed the standard sound system. The vehicle is leased, so I would like to choose the fastest and comparatively cheapest option to improve and therefore want to install a plug & play amplifier. It is clear to me that the car will not become a rolling concert hall, and I do not require that.

So I ordered an amplifier from ISOTEC and wanted to have the amplifier installed in a small car hi-fi workshop. The fitter then surprisingly found that, contrary to whatever information was available, the vehicle had already installed a small amplifier the size of a matchbox at the back. The amplifier did not fit with the supplied adapter, of course, because ISOTEC understandably assumed that the amplifier is installed on the front of the radio unit, as with all other 3 and 4 series. Nobody can explain that.

Online, all popular hi-fi dealers always assume that the standard system has no amplifier and must be connected to the radio unit. I therefore do not find a suitable amplifier that fits my system, i.e. operates all 4 loudspeakers in the doors + the 2 subs under the front seats. Does anyone have the same experience or know where I can buy suitable amplifiers?

This is the ASD module (Active Sound Design). This is a sound generator that loops fake motor noises between the radio and loudspeaker.
