I'm a bit irritated at the moment. For my car (E90 M47N2) I need an "exhaust pressure sensor".

I was at BMW and asked. The spare parts catalog only mentions a "pressure sensor". Somewhere in the network I read that the exhaust gas counter pressure sensor and differential pressure sensor are two different things and are not the same thing.

But is there no difference in the parts catalog or am I wrong? There is only one pressure sensor in the parts catalog. A square part with a tube to the side.

What does an exhaust gas back pressure sensor look like?

This currently gives me wrong values. A free-burned, cleaned quasi-new particle filter was installed a week ago and there are always error messages 480A and 481A.

This happens even when the engine is not running and only the ignition is on. That is why I wanted to change it and now I am sitting in front of the parts catalog as if in awe.

And very importantly: Does it have to be coded / taught in after installation? So you have to say to the car "hey you have a new exhaust back pressure sensor" ...?

It is a pressure sensor. Replace component 13627789219.

The original components are of good quality and have a low offset; no adaptation is necessary.

Exhaust back pressure - ambient pressure = differential pressure.
