I bought BMW 318i E90 2006, but the car consumes a lot of oil - an oil and oil filter change was made, but after only 750 km I had to refill 1 liter of oil because of the oil filter that was soaked up yesterday. Only 400km again I would have to refill half a liter of oil, and today after I have only driven 60km some oil is missing again.

What could be the reason?

That's because your engine is broken.

The valve stem seals, the oil control rings or in the worst case the cylinder head gasket will be defective.

Does the engine drip when stationary?

This is nothing unusual with the engine. It is known for it. It's just not a good engine. Can be valve stem seals, piston rings or oil control rings. Or a seal is broken and it loses a little there when it gets hot, it explains your described smell.

This is due to the engine - it is obviously very old. You will always have to travel with a reserve oil canister.

The engine is likely to be damaged. Have it checked in the workshop.
