When you see all the dashboard lights on and they stay illuminated in your Jeep Commander, it typically indicates a problem with the vehicle's electrical system or a malfunctioning sensor. Here are a few possible causes to consider:

Battery or Charging System
A weak battery or a faulty alternator can cause a variety of electrical issues, including multiple dashboard lights coming on. Have your battery and charging system tested to ensure they are functioning properly.

Faulty Sensors
The dashboard lights are often triggered by various sensors in the vehicle. A malfunctioning sensor, such as the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) sensor or the engine coolant temperature sensor, could cause the lights to turn on. A diagnostic scan using a specialized tool can help identify any faulty sensors.

Loose or Corroded Ground Connections
Poor ground connections can disrupt the electrical system and lead to unusual behavior, including the illumination of multiple dashboard lights. Inspect the battery terminals and other ground connections to ensure they are secure and free of corrosion.

Use an OBD Scanner
Using an OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) scanner is an effective method for diagnosing the issue with your Jeep Commander. The OBD scanner connects to the vehicle's OBD port, allowing it to communicate with the onboard computer system and retrieve stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). These codes provide valuable information about the specific problem areas or components that may be causing the dashboard lights to stay illuminated. Interpreting the codes can help identify the underlying cause, but it's important to consult with a qualified mechanic or Jeep dealership service center for accurate diagnosis and repair, as they can perform further tests and provide expert guidance.
