Oil leaks out BMW 1 Series, 2006 (VFL), 118i

Question

unfortunately I have a problem with my 1 Series. I recently noticed a small oil stain on the street and the car sometimes smells a bit of burnt oil from the engine compartment. Does the oil drip on the manifold? And where does the oil come from?

I hope the pictures show where the oil could come from.

About my vehicle: BMW 1 Series, 2006 (VFL), 118i, 170k run

I will go to the mechanic next week, but I would like to have some ideas on the cause.

There the valve cover gasket could leak. Exchange and it will be good. Any workshop can do it, don't have to go to BMW

Sometimes, however, the oil can be pushed up under the cover.

Then it runs down from there to the manifold.
