02 dodge neon seems ever so often start missing cutting out and may struggle for a bit then lines out

Their has been a rodent chew up wires underhood but think i got them.

It could be due to a damaged wire due to rodents. But you should first connect an OBDII scanner to see if there are any codes. For example if the rodents damaged the ignition coil wires, you may see a code between P0350 to P0354 (ignition coil circuit malfunction).
