Hello, I have bought a BMW E46 318i with automatic (118ps). Is it possible to do drifting on it? Or also let the tires spin? Have no ESP just ASC..

It's very difficult because you 1: have an automatic and 2: very little horsepower

But not impossible, practice that in a parking lot.

It is important to: go to manual mode in the automatic transmission (to the left of D and then down until the display reads "M1") go to the first gear "M1".

Then you switch off DSC, simply press the button next to the seat heating with "DSC" on it, you can see when it is off by the fact that a yellow exclamation mark can be seen in the middle of the speedometer.

And then you give it all. Just practice, maybe even better in the rain.

Doing burnout is not a problem. It works very well, especially on wet roads. They spin on dry roads, but only for a short time.  Drifting? No, you can forget about drifting with the car. Too little power, and automatic transmission. As soon as it comes across, that little power is lost, quite simply.

Works for me in the 316 compact automatic 101PS only in the rain, the first gear is simply too long.

Well 118 HP and automatic are not exactly ideal for drifting. It is possible, but it takes a lot of time and practice.
