Elon Musk sent an internal email to Tesla’s staff, notifying them that Model Y production is now extremely important and top priority. Model 3, S and X are doing well so far, only Model Y is currently causing problems because it being a new product.
Elon Musk wants to control production
The Tesla Model Y is currently being produced in Fremont, where Tesla also uses its Model 3 tent for the production of additional units. Elon Musk announced in the mail that he would now like to personally visit the two production lines every week and optimize the situation.
The Corona crisis hit Model Y in particular, because production had just started, so the factories had to be closed. The Model Y is next to the Model 3 but one of the most important products from Tesla, which should help with growth in the market in the future.

The Tesla boss wants to know from the employees whether he can do something that improves the situation. According to Electrek, such emails are actually only sent if you want to fix a specific problem. In this case, Tesla still seems to have difficulties with the general production of the Model Y.
