How often and when should the filter be changed?

Ford recommends replacing cabin filter every 20,000 miles (32,000 km). Allergy sufferers should even halve this value. The best time to change is just before spring, as the cold months in autumn and winter put more strain on the filter. In addition, the pollen season begins in spring. You should act at the latest when the filter is no longer working properly.

How do I know that the filter has to be replaced?

Unmistakable signs that the time for an exchange is overdue are a significantly reduced air flow and possibly also unpleasant smells. To be on the safe side, it is advisable to also clean the seats, carpets and other interior surfaces regularly. While driving, the windows should be closed and the air conditioning switched on.
