The Nivus developed in South America will initially be launched in Brazil and will also be offered in Argentina in the second half of the year. Further markets in South America will follow from 2021. In perspective, the new model will also be launched internationally and will be available in stores in a European version. This makes the Nivus a Volkswagen that was developed in South America, but is also to be produced and sold in other regions.

Volkswagen Brasil is planning the brand’s largest product offensive in South America in 2020 with a total of 20 new launches. The Nivus opens a new segment on the Brazilian market with an innovative design that combines SUV elements and coupe lines. With a trunk volume of 415 liters, it is one of the largest in the small car segment. It is based on the Modular Transverse Toolkit (MQB) and is built according to the latest production processes in the Anchieta plant (São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil).
