After rigorous and detailed evaluations, Internet polls and tallying by the prestigious accounting firm KPMG, the final announcement and awards ceremony of the six categories including the World Car Person of the Year Awards are on April 8, at the New York International Auto Show. The results of the winners in each category are not even known to the parties involved until the moment they are opened, similar to Academy Awards.
I took a test drive of CX-30, I was impressed with its comfort, standard features, ease of handling and luxury. But the headroom was a little bit cramped, especially for 2nd row seats.
Mazda styling and interiors are a cut above the competition. Not to mention the best handling of comparable vehicles. I love my CX5. But I’m really thinking of replacing it with the 3 hatchback.
I have had the 2016 Mazda 3 for just over a year now, second hand but honestly the most comfortable, spacious and practical car I have ever owned. I was looking at the CX5 myself more recently due to expanding family but I couldnt afford the extras that came with my Mazda 3 that I wouldnt want to lose.
I have a 2016 Mazda 3 also. It’s a very good car, but not a patch on my Mazda 626 Sport hatchback.
My current Mazda 3 is disgusting when it comes to visibility.
Having owned 2 Mazda 3s, a Mazda 5, a Mazda Speed and now a Mazda CX-30, I think I can fairly say that the CX-30 is the perfect car. It’s like Fort Pierce, FL: people can’t believe how wonderful it is. It’s sporty but substantial, the interior is solid but not flashy, the exterior is eye-catching and the color I chose, dark blue, sparkles. It’s also very comfortable, handles well and feels safe. Just to prove my lack of bias, I will admit that the Command system takes some getting used to.
I have both. Be sure to understand the 3 rides much stiffer than the 5
I have a 2014 Mazda manual, I’m thinking about the 3 hatchback also.
I only have Mazda 2… 😔
I’m on my 10th Mazda, currently Mazda 3. Blown away by the things that come included. They are reliable, practical, well designed and needless to say i Love them.
I switched from a 2016 CX5 to the 2020 Mazda 3 Sport GT AWD and WOW what a difference. I LOVE that it has an adaptive AWD system that scans the road ahead and pre sets power to each wheel for the road conditions. It’s a gutless car in terms of power, but it is quite good on fuel for an ICE, so it has that going for it. A sleek looking hatchback with a mean looking front end. I also love the adaptive headlights that turn with the steering wheel. The interior is extremely comfortable. I also love all the safety features of it and that it will pull itself over and stop if I for some reason lpse control of the wheel. Smart braking system in front and rear is great to have, but never needed it (yet). This car is amazing… Oh, and I really like that it displays my speed and signs ahead in the windshield. What a great little slow af car!
Brought a new CX3 back in November 2017 and just couldn’t say enough about it, so February just gone brought another Mazda but this time went for a new CX 5…. just brilliant. Well done to the crew at Ringwood Mazda in Melbourne.
Congratulations Mazda 🙏🏻
Before I found this post, just purchased a brand new Mazda 3 Astina hatch. Went into dealership for a Sub, test drive both CX5 and the Astina. The Astina extras were way too good to pass.
Car of the world and they hardly sell any. In January, Mazda only sold a little over 2,000 of those SUVs in US, and the Mazda 3 sales are down about 50 percent from its peak about 5 years ago. What is the criteria for selecting these vehicles? Personally, if I had to choose an SUV for this award, I would choose Toyota RAV4 which isn’t even in their top list of finalists. I think the upcoming plug-in RAV4 Prime will be a great hit, especially for those who want to enjoy the benefits of both the worlds, EV and internal combustion engine. You can drive in city on EV mode and on gas on highway.
Rav4 already have hybrid versions, but there are many consumer reports about gas tank flaws and no solution offered. So think yourself, why it’s not there
I think it’s because you don’t know very much about cars. Mazdas are not better then Toyota that has to be a joke right look at sales in the US and in Canada.
Mazda makes an alright vehicle, I have to say the Mazda 3 is great but the Mazda CX 5 has to be in my opinion one of the worst vehicles unless your under 6 feet you have like no leg room in the back it feels like a tin can and I laugh when customers come in comparing a Mazda CX 5 to a Toyota.
Cheers,

Toyota adds more than 1.1 million vehicles to previous fuel pump recall
About 1.8 million in total. i.imgur.com/huV9SGb.png
It looks like Toyota has dropped the ball quality and reliability.
Mazda is second most reliable car brand. 1st is Lexus. Think about it, they compare Mazda to a luxury brand. Of-course they have to make Lexus as reliable as possible because you’re paying more for it.
To those still questioning Mazda quality and design. The products speaks for themselves, superior to Toyota….definitely.
Go on, live in denial.
Proof of Mazda pedigree
Well since I’m 5’3 and like to sit straight up and have no children cx5 would be for me🤣👌🏽🙌🏾
