This makes participation in the virtual World Rally Championship even more attractive: as part of the collaboration with NACON, the publisher of the official video game, the WRC winner wins a new Toyota GR Yaris.

The high-performance small car was co-developed by the Toyota Motorsport department and brings the technologies successfully tested in the World Rally Championship onto the road. Equipped with a 1.6 liter turbo three-cylinder petrol engine with 192 kW / 261 hp, the sporty flagship of the Yaris series sprints from zero to 100 km/h in less than 5.5 seconds. Consistent lightweight construction and the new GR-Four all-wheel drive guarantee exceptional driving dynamics and performance.

The eSports WRC attracts more and more competitors who want to compete with players from all over the world. The end of the current fifth season is scheduled for October: The “Grande Finale” will choose the overall winner, who will then be able to receive a new GR Yaris.

“With the eSports WRC, we want to get even more people around the world excited about rallying,” says Andrea Carlucci, Director of Product and Brand Management at Toyota Motor Europe. “For Toyota Gazoo Racing, e-motorsport is an important pillar to make motorsport and sports cars even more accessible and to promote a new generation of car fans. Interest in eSports is growing worldwide – as is our range of sporty vehicles. We are therefore looking forward to working with our partners to bring our brand and products even closer to customers and fans.”
