Toyota Aygo gets new features and x-JBL special model

Toyota has its Aygo product range revised. The highlight is the new Aygo x-JBL special model, which can now be ordered from a Toyota dealer. Also on board is a premium sound system with 600 watts and a total of five speakers specially designed for the smallest car: two tweeters in the dashboard, two broadband speakers in the front doors and a subwoofer in the spare tire compartment in the trunk.

The Toyota Safety Sense safety system and automatic air conditioning are also standard on the Aygo x-JBL. In addition, the special model is painted in gray metallic with a “mandarin” roof. These color accents can be found in the interior.

In all Aygo models from June 2020, the audio system has the DAB+ standard for the greatest variety of stations in the best sound quality. All new vehicles also meet the Euro 6d-ISC-FCM emissions standard, which will be mandatory from January 2021. The lively three-cylinder engine with 1.0 liter displacement and 53 kW (72 hp) combines brisk driving pleasure with low fuel consumption.

In addition, customers can use the many advantages of MyT Connected Services at no additional cost. After registering the driver and vehicle, the smartphone app, which is available free of charge for iOS and Android devices, includes, for example, a parking position finder or pedestrian navigation. It provides access to driving data such as speed, acceleration or mileage and reminds you when inspections or battery changes are due. In addition, the app can also use ACN (Automatic Crash Notification) in conjunction with a vibration sensor in the vehicle: If the Aygo is damaged by another car in the parking lot, for example, the customer receives a message via the MyT app.

For the Aygo x-clusiv, which can now be ordered from Toyota dealers, other color combinations are available in addition to Kyoto blue with a black roof. The city runabout is also available in carmine red with a black roof or in midnight black with a carmine red roof. Another option for the x-clusiv is the Red-Pack canvas. In addition to the midnight black body, the Aygo comes with an electric folding roof in red.

The extensions for the x-sky round off the spring update for the Toyota Aygo. In this equipment variant, the model will in future have an automatic air conditioning system and Toyota Safety Sense safety systems as standard to prevent collisions.
