Clarkson, Hammond and May on their boats

It was sad to see the end of the tent show when The Grand Tour’s third season came to an end. The presenters bid farewell to the audience format that made them famous the worldwide, notably with BBC’s Top Gear. In the last episode of the season, they pledged to continue with the show, but will lose the audience, the tent and news segment, instead all future episodes will be specials. The first of the promised adventures is here, and the its trailer looks dandy.

The journey is 500 miles across Tonlé Sap Lake in Cambodia and through Mekong Delta in Vietnam. Jeremy Clarkson previously said that four fisherman lost their lives just “inches away” from where they had been filming, so they had to stop their journey and get back on land because of bad weather. Clarkson told that he was fine, but his co-presenter James May had to abandon ship as filming crew boats were filling with water. The trio were safe at the end, Hammond could be seen complaining about the situation in the video trailer.
