Announced by Elon Musk, the CEO of the world’s most famous electric vehicle company. Depending on the curvature of their design lines, the models will look different.
The vehicles of the Tesla brand have cutting-edge technology and, even when there are several options on the market, they are the great benchmark worldwide when it comes to electric cars.
Still, one of the aspects that has always been criticized is the lack of color options. Perhaps for this reason, Elon Musk, the CEO of the company, has announced a new business strategy, which comes hand in hand with the announcement of the creation of the “most advanced paint shop in the world”.
Currently, if someone orders a Tesla through the website they will find that the base color is white and if it is intended to change to red, silver gray, blue or black, an additional $1,700 must be paid.
Beyond the price, what is striking is the limited supply of colors, but Musk reported on Twitter that Giga Berlin, the planned first Tesla factory in Europe, will have the most advanced paint shop in the world. “Giga Berlin will have world’s most advanced paint shop, with more layers of stunning colors that subtly change with curvature,” said Elon Musk. What does this mean? Basically that, depending on the angle through which the vehicle is seen, will be the color that can be seen.
Musk also suggested that the Teslas with these multi-layer paints will be made only in Europe, and that despite the fact that the Shanghai and Fremont plants will be updated over time, it is difficult to install new technologies in their paint shops that already were previously configured.
On the other hand, the businessman confirmed that the initial production in Giga Berlin will be Model Y, which ties in with Tesla’s plans that this plant be the one that provides Model 3 and Model Y to all of Europe.
