Tesla Autopilot adds new features to recognize traffic lights and stop signs

Recently, Elon Musk through social media, said that there will be an OTA upgrade in the coming weeks for the new automatic identification of traffic lights and stop signs, and automatic parking function.

It is understood that this function will automatically identify the traffic lights, stop signs and other road markings on the road with the support of the front camera and GPS data, and respond accordingly.

For example, when the car approaches the intersection, it will notify the owner that it is about to slow down and stop at the red line displayed in the central control screen. If you want to continue to pass the red line, the owner needs to step on the accelerator. Like Autopilot’s intelligent driving function, car owners are still responsible for driving behavior. After a long period of training and learning, the function of this autonomous driving will become more refined.

The above functions will be standard on all Tesla models, and will be the first to be launched in the United States. It will be officially launched in the third quarter of this year at the earliest, and then widely promoted worldwide. At the same time, Musk also revealed that it will release new Roadster and Semi electric truck this year.
