Tesla applies for a license to supply electricity in the United Kingdom

Tesla might be popular because of its vehicles, but it also works in other categories. After all, it is a company that is strongly committed to renewable energy, and now it could go even further into this sector. The proof of this is their interest in obtaining a license to supply energy in the United Kingdom.

Tesla Powerpack installation in Australia

The information comes from the Telegraph media. And they say that Tesla has asked for a license to bring its PowerPack battery technologies to the United Kingdom. The situation would be similar to what happened in Hornsdale, Australia, where they carried out a 100 MW electrical installation. However, in the application there are no details about Tesla’s plans in this country. However, having paved the way for commercial electricity supply, Tesla is likely to continue on that path in the UK.

Another possibility that is discussed is that the company could launch its new platform called Autobidder in this country, which uses machine-learning and cloud technologies to optimize energy services, power plants and distribution infrastructures. However, it seems that we will have to wait to know the exact details of the company’s plans in the UK.
