The A350 XWB is a long-haul passenger plane from large European aircraft manufacturer Airbus. Originally named A350, this model was derived from the A330; however, following comments from the airlines, it was decided in mid-July 2006 to review the concept and provide it with a wider fuselage, both compared to the A330 and A340, and above all compared to its main competitor, at that time, the Boeing 787. This development now allows the A350 to also compete with the new Boeing 777x (whose first flight, initially scheduled for March 13, 2019, finally takes place on January 25, 2020).
