Munich – Norbert Reithofer will continue to chair the supervisory board of the car manufacturer BMW.
He was elected chairman of the panel on Thursday following the general meeting, the company said. Reithofer joined BMW AG in 1987 and was CEO from 2006 to 2015. He has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board since 2015. The general meeting now gave him a mandate for another five years.
Anke Schäferkordt was also newly elected to the Supervisory Board. The media manager succeeds Renate Köcher, who resigned her mandate “prematurely in agreement with the supervisory board”, as it was said.
