Does the Pontiac Solstice have Android Auto?

The Pontiac Solstice is a sports car that was produced by General Motors under the Pontiac brand from 2006 to 2009. The Solstice was a two-seat roadster that was designed to be affordable and fun to drive, but it did not come equipped with the capability to support Android Auto.

Android Auto is a mobile app developed by Google that allows users to control certain features of their Android smartphones through their car’s infotainment system. This includes the ability to make phone calls, send and receive text messages, and access music and other media.

However, because the Pontiac Solstice does not have this capability, those who own the vehicle will need to use an aftermarket multimedia system in order to gain access to the features provided by Android Auto.

There are a variety of aftermarket multimedia systems available on the market, such as Pioneer, Sony, JVC, and Kenwood. These systems can be purchased and installed by a professional or by someone with experience in car audio installation. The cost of these systems can vary depending on the brand and model, but they generally range from a few hundred dollars to over a thousand dollars.

When choosing an aftermarket multimedia system, it’s important to consider the specific features you’re looking for, as well as the compatibility of the system with your specific make and model of vehicle. For example, some systems may not be compatible with the Solstice, or may not have the same level of integration with Android Auto as others.

Once the aftermarket multimedia system is installed, users will be able to access the full range of features provided by Android Auto, including the ability to make phone calls, send and receive text messages, and access music and other media. Additionally, many aftermarket systems also offer additional features such as navigation and rear-view camera integration.

Additionally, an aftermarket multimedia system can also enhance the visual and audio experience in the Solstice, including adding in a larger display, with more advanced and customizable user interface, and better sound quality.

Overall, while the Pontiac Solstice does not come equipped with Android Auto, there are aftermarket options available that allow users to access these features. However, it’s important to consider the compatibility and cost before making a decision. Additionally, an aftermarket multimedia system can also enhance the visual and audio experience in the Solstice.

It’s worth noting that even though the Pontiac brand was discontinued by General Motors in 2010, and the Solstice was only produced for four model years, there are still many enthusiasts who own and maintain these cars. Therefore, there could be a market for aftermarket options and retrofit kits for this specific car.
