McLaren brings 765 hp to its light-weight 765LT supercar

The super sports car, equipped with a double-charged V8 engine, has an output of 765 hp (663 kW) and a maximum torque of 800 Newton meters (Nm).

The 1339 kilogram 765LT accelerates from naught to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and 200 km/h in 7.2 seconds. The dry weight of just 1339 kilograms was achieved, among other things, by a 40 percent lighter titanium exhaust system, thinner glass and polycarbonate panes.

The 76 LT is characterized by a carbon fiber aerodynamic package consisting of a front splitter, a modified front bumper, front floor, side skirts, rear bumper, rear diffuser and an enlarged active rear wing. Specially tuned springs and dampers, a widened track and a reduced vehicle height at the front ensure improved traction. A special software program was also developed for the 765 hp longtail.

The 765LT stands on 10-spoke forged wheels that are mounted with titanium wheel bolts. Specially developed Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R provides the necessary grip. Behind the rims, carbon-ceramic brake discs with brake calipers from McLaren Senna provide the deceleration. Fading is limited by cooling channels in the brake calipers.

The center tunnel and an exposed floor are also made of carbon fiber. The air conditioning and audio system of the 765LT have been removed, but can be ordered at no extra charge. McLaren will deliver 765 individually numbered vehicles to customers worldwide.
