Jeep Grand Cherokee Night Vision Animal Warning Light

Jeep Grand Cherokee has a night vision feature, which is an optional safety system that uses infrared technology to help drivers see objects and animals in the dark. The system uses an infrared camera that detects the heat signatures of objects, including animals, and displays them on the vehicle’s dashboard display.

The Night Vision Animal Warning Light will illuminate red in Jeep Grand Cherokee when the system detects an animal directly in front of the vehicle, near the headlights. When this light turns on, a collision with the animal is possible. If the feature is enabled, an audible chime will sound, and a video pop-up may appear in the instrument cluster display when an animal is detected. This feature is designed to help drivers detect and avoid collisions with animals when driving at night.

To access the Night Vision screen, you can go to the instrument cluster display menu and scroll to the Night Vision page. The objects detected by the camera will be displayed on this screen, and the color of the object will indicate its temperature. Warm objects such as animals will appear lighter on the display, while cold objects such as traffic signs will appear darker.

It’s worth noting that night vision systems are not a substitute for safe driving practices, and drivers should always pay attention to the road and use their headlights when driving at night.
