The inductive charging of smartphones in the car is becoming increasingly popular. That is why more and more OEMs are installing inductive charging stations. This guide shows you how to use wireless charger on Hyundai Tucson.
Inside the front console, there is a wireless cellphone charging pad. The charging pad is compatible with Qi enabled cellphones.
The system operates when all doors are closed and the ignition switch is in the ACC/ON position. When you place your phone on the pad (screen side up), you’ll see a small orange light by the Qi logo, indicating that charging is active.
Enable/disable wireless charging
To turn on or off the charging pad feature, turn on the engine and then in the instrument cluster, go to the User Settings menu. Select Convenience, then press OK to either select or deselect the box next to Wireless Charging System depending on your preference. Press OK again to turn it back on.

So, if there’s a charging pad, why is there a cord plugging phone into the car…. hence the term wireless ( 😐 )
The wireless charger doesn’t need the cord (obviously), but you still have to plug in the USB cable if you want to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. So wireless charger is almost useless without wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.
