How to use Cruise Control on Nissan Rogue Sport

Your Nissan Rogue Sport may be equipped with either a conventional cruise control or Pro-Pilot Assist which is a hands-on driver assist system that combines Nissan’s Intelligent Cruise Control and Steering Assist technologies and includes a stop and hold function that can bring the vehicle to a full stop, hold in place and can bring you back up to speed when traffic starts moving again.

Cruise control enables you to set a desired speed above 25 mph, and remain there until you wish to slow down, accelerate or stop.


  1. Push the on/off switch on the right side of the steering wheel to turn the cruise control on. The cruise indicator light will illuminate in the instrument cluster.
  2. Accelerate until you reach the desired speed. Then push down on the SET – button on the right side of the steering wheel and release it.
  3. The vehicle will now operate at your selected speed.

The set speed is displayed to the right side of the cruise indicator light in the instrument cluster. If you accelerate past the set speed, the set speed displayed will blink until you cancel cruise control or go back to the set speed.

Overtaking with cruise control

If you need to pass another vehicle, ensure that it is a legal maneuver and then press the accelerator pedal. Once you have safely passed, release the accelerator and your vehicle will return to the previously set speed.

Increase set speed

To change to a faster cruising speed, push and hold the RES+ button on the right side of the steering wheel and then release it at your desired cruising speed. If you quickly push and release RES+ button, it will increase your set speed by one mph.

Decrease set speed

To decrease the set cruising speed, push and hold the SET – button on the steering wheel. Release when you have reached the desired slower speed. If you quickly push and release the SET – button, each push will decrease the set speed by one mph.

Cancel cruise control

To cancel cruise control, press CANCEL button on the steering wheel of tap your brake pedal.

To resume cruising at your last set speed, press the RES+ button. To turn the cruise control off completely, press the on/off switch on the steering wheel.
