Note: This method is specifically for Android Auto, so you will need to connect your smartphone via USB cable to your Mazda vehicle first.

  1. From the Android Auto homescreen bump or tilt the commander knob and then rotate the knob to select the headphone icon on the bottom of the screen to reveal your audio options.
  2. Then select the desired audio entertainment application you want to use, for example Spotify or Google Play Music.
  3. You can also search music using the Google Assistant voice control by saying “Play <song name>”. To bring up Google Assistant, press the talk button on your steering wheel while Android Auto is running.
  4. You can also access your music using the shortcut button next to the Commander knob (center console). When you press the entertainment icon button, your currently playing screen will come up and you can navigate your audio from there, access your library, pause or skip the current song.
