Ford F-150 is equipped with mechanical hood release system which is similar to majority of other vehicles. Lets see how to operate it.
Important: Make sure that you fully latch the hood on your F-150 before driving. Failure to follow this instruction could result in personal injury.
1. Pull the hood release handle under the left hand side of the instrument panel, near the driver’s door.
2. Pull the secondary release lever under the front of the hood near the center of your vehicle.
3. Raise the hood until the lift cylinders hold it open.
4. To close, lower the hood and make sure that it fully latches.
