The Prius has a remote fuel filler door release located on the floor next to the driver’s seat.
1. To open the fuel filler door, pull up on the lever located on the floor next to the driver’s seat.
2. To remove the cap, turn the cap slowly counter-clockwise. Hang the cap on the back of the fuel filler door. Toyota recommends using regular unleaded, 87 octane fuel.
3. After refueling, return the cap to the fuel filler inlet, turning the fuel cap clockwise until you hear one click.
