By following a few simple steps, you can easily switch between a 12-hour and 24-hour time format to suit your preference. Here’s a guide on how to change the time format in a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Access the Vehicle Settings

Start by locating the center screen in your Jeep Grand Cherokee. At the bottom of the screen, you’ll find a category bar with various options. Tap on “Vehicle” to enter the vehicle settings.

Navigate to Clock & Date

Once you’re in the vehicle settings, look for the “Settings” option in the top right corner of the screen. Tap on it to access additional settings. From the menu that appears on the left side of the screen, select “Clock & Date.” This will bring up the clock and date settings.

Adjust the Time Format

Within the Clock & Date settings, you will find the option to change the time format. On the right side of the screen, you’ll see a list of settings related to time and date. Look for the option labeled “Time Format.” Note that in order to modify this setting, you must first ensure that the “Sync Time With GPS” option is turned off.

Choose the Time Format

Once you’ve verified that the “Sync Time With GPS” option is off, you can proceed to change the time format. Tap on the “Time Format” option, and you’ll be presented with two choices: “12 hrs” and “24 hrs.”

12-hour format

This setting displays the time in the traditional AM/PM format.

24-hour format

This setting displays the time using a 24-hour clock, also known as military time.

Save the Changes

After selecting your desired time format, tap on the corresponding option to save the changes. Your Jeep Grand Cherokee’s clock will now be updated to reflect the newly selected time format.
