Your Chevy Silverado 1500 can be equipped with heated steering wheel that keeps your hands warm while you drive your truck.
Heated steering wheel is not a standard feature on Silverado 1500. Vehicles equipped with LT Trail Boss Convenience Package or Convenience Package with Bucket Seats have heated steering wheel.
You can turn on the heated steering wheel by pressing the button with steering symbol located on the left side of your Silverado’s steering wheel. The orange light on the button will illuminate, indicating that the heated steering wheel is functioning.
The steering wheel takes about three minutes to start heating.
Press the button again to turn off the heating.
Remote Start Heated Steering
If your Silverado 1500 is equipped with remote start feature, the heated steering wheel will turn on automatically during a remote start along with the heated seats when it is cold outside. The heated steering wheel indicator light may not come on.
