Fully adjustable Track Mode released by Tesla for Model 3 Performance

Now, Model 3 drivers will be able to adapt the behavior of their car very precisely! There will also be an optional “Track Pack” for those who want to get the most out of their electric sedan!

Tesla has developed new software for the Model 3 Performance . This gives the possibility of influencing behavior to a fairly advanced degree! For example, you can use a menu to adjust the torque distribution between the two axles, ranging from only the rear wheels to only the front wheels, going through everything you want between these two extremes.

The power of regenerative braking (a very powerful engine brake, which works via electric motors) can also be determined (from 100 to 0%) and the interventions of the stability control can be adjusted on various levels, ranging from all to nothing ! You can also determine the cooling of the car in order to extract as much power as possible from the battery … Finally, the cameras in Autopilot mode can film your trip on the circuit.

Track Pack

Although the software update is free and will be sent to all Model 3 Performance cars, Tesla also offers a Track Pack for the car hardware. This package includes:
— 4 x 20″ X 9″ Zero-G Performance wheels
— 4 x Tesla logo center caps
— 20 x Lug nut covers
— 4 x 245/35ZR20 XL Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires
— 4 x tire pressure sensors
— 1 x front and rear high-performance brake pads
— 1 x brake fluid replacement
The Track Pack would cost $5,500 in the United States. It is not yet known if it will be available in Europe (and when).
