In line with this year’s motto “The Museum for All – Museums for Diversity and Inclusion”, there will also be live digital tours on Instagram next Sunday. You can participate from anywhere in the world and experience how Porsche transports the ideas and values of its brand from the past into the future.

“In times like these, when traveling is a particularly big challenge, digital diversity is more important than ever,” says Achim Stejskal, Head of Heritage and Porsche Museum.” We have not been consistently pushing ahead with expanding digital offerings since the corona crisis, but for years. We are committed to the ‘Mission Future Heritage’. We want to use modern channels not only at the Zuffenhausen site to illustrate the origin and future of the brand, but also outside of the museum. ”

On the International Museum Day, two guides lead through the exhibition in German and English for one hour each, which currently comprises more than 80 vehicles on 5,600 square meters. They take up special exhibits and give an insight into the company’s history. The digital live tours lead past prototypes, small exhibits, racing and production vehicles. The German-speaking tour, which can be viewed on Instagram, starts at 6.30 p.m., the English tour at 12 a.m. (CEST). The dates are deliberately outside the regular opening times – according to the motto “The Museum for All”.

The tours will also be recorded in the following languages and will be available on Porsche News TV from Sunday: Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese, Turkish, Croatian, Romanian, Spanish and Portuguese. “We have a native speaker for each of these languages in the Porsche Museum. We would like to thank our fans around the world with the videos that reflect the live character of a tour and bring them a piece of the Porsche Museum at home,” explains Stejskal.

The day of the action is announced annually by the International Museum Council ICOM to draw attention to the broad spectrum of museum work and the thematic diversity of museums around the world. All over Germany, museums offer special promotions, exhibitions or a look behind the scenes on this Sunday. Patron of the Museum Day is Dr. Dietmar Woidke, President of the Federal Council.
